AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE?

YOU MAY BE A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR PERMANENT MAKE-UP IF:

*You are over the age of 18 and in good health, with no active infections, illness, or flare ups., and not taking blood thinning supplements or medications.

​*You are not pregnant or nursing

*If you are taking any medications please be sure to disclose this info to me prior to your appointment.

***If you have previous permanent makeup from another cosmetic artist in the desired treatment area, you must inform me before booking an appointment, or consultation***

YOU MAY NOT BE A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR PMU IF:

*If you are Fitzpatrick skin type I (redheads, white blonde, white/translucent skin, light eyes) are usually hypersensitive and the skin does not always retain pigment.

​*If you have Moles/lesions or scars in the PMU area or you have any “raised” skin there at all the pigment will not take. If its close to this area please send me a pic if you have any doubts.

*If you have used any acne medications such as accutane within the last 12 months

​*Heart conditions/Mitral Valve Prolapse/Pace Maker/ Defibrillator (no exceptions).

​*Taken medications that will increase bleeding and/or affect pigment retention: -Trifusual (Disgren)

-Dipyridamole (Persantine Coumadin)

-Pradaxia (Dibigatran)

-Xarelto (Rivaraxban) -Eliquis (Apixaban) -Savasya (Edoxaban) -Clopidogrel (Plavix) -Prasugrel (Effient) -Ticagrelor (Brilinta) -Ticlopidine (Ticlid) -Cilostazol (Pletal) -Vorapaxar (Zontivity)

​*Autoimmune disorders of any kind (MS,RA, Lupus, etc. because your immune system may be compromised and the medications prevent retention as well.

​*Surgical forehead/brow lift

 *Trichotillomania-compulsive hair pulling (constant pulling out of hair may cause scare tissue that will effect healing and retention.

​*Had shingles on your face-no exceptions (PMU can cause flare ups)

​*Eczema, psoriasis or other dermatitis in or around the PMU area.

​*Oily or severely oily skin (poor retention and blurring of strokes for microblading)

​*Extremely thin skin that is transparent (translucent) or very vascular.

​*Deep wrinkles in PMU area (pigments can run into/along the lines)

​*Hemophilia or other bleeding/clotting disorders.

​*Platelet disorders (disorders that prevent platelets from forming)

​*Hair transplants in PMU area.

​*Thyroid conditions and medications can affect PMU retention, and outcome of color.(Hypo or Hyper Thyroidism, Graves Disease, Hashimotos, etc.)

​*Rosacea that is advanced.

​*MRSA, Herpes, warts or other infections (PMU can exacerbate these conditions and/or cause flare ups.) 

​*Chemotherapy or Radiation treatments within past 12 months.

These conditions usually contraindicate successful Permanent Makeup. The procedure itself may not be successful or the healing may be compromised. The retention of color can also be compromised. Case by case situations will be discussed before booking an appointment or during a consultation.
